ILLINOIS ART COUNCIL GRANT

Hairpin Arts Center is thrilled to announce that we have been selected as recipients of the Illinois Art Council Grant. This incredible opportunity reinforces our dedication to providing a dynamic space for artists and creators. With the grant funds, we aim to enhance our facilities by renovating our bathrooms, floors, and walls, as well as establishing a studio and classrooms for our vibrant community.

The Illinois Arts Council Agency (IACA) is a state agency dedicated to supporting and promoting the arts in Illinois. Established in 1965, it is one of the oldest state arts agencies in the United States. The agency's mission is to "build a strong, creative, and connected Illinois through the arts."

The Illinois Arts Council provides grants, programs, and services to artists, arts organizations, and communities throughout the state. These grants support a wide range of artistic disciplines, including visual arts, performing arts, literary arts, media arts, and multidisciplinary projects.

The council offers grants for individual artists, arts organizations, schools, and community-based programs. These grants may support various activities such as arts education, community engagement projects, artistic development, and cultural initiatives.
