gRACE: a graceful dialogue on race – presented by Connect-the-Dots.
For three days this August, come together to dissect, empathize, heal, and begin the process of re-imagining the story of race we live out every day.
Four workshops in four different parts of Chicago, led by Cherry Steinwender, co-founder and Executive Director of The Center for the Healing of Racism, will create a safe space where people from all backgrounds can come together and dissect the concept of “race;” where they can share their unique experiences; where they can connect and become advocates for each other through the process.
At the Hairpin on Saturday, August 15, Connect-the-Dots looks at race through the lens of art and music, with a celebration featuring local Chicago artists, musicians and vendors.
